Marlo Medic at the "Brano Heart Failure Forum" Symposium
Marlo Medic participated in the 16th international symposium "Brano Heart Failure Forum," organized by the Dedinje Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases, held from September 18 to 20, 2024, at the Metropol Hotel in Belgrade. This impressive professional gathering is dedicated to mechanical circulatory support, specifically the implantation of mechanical pumps into the heart muscle.
The symposium, named after the late Professor Dr. Brano Radovančević, brought together the most eminent experts in the field of mechanical circulatory support from America and Europe. Professor Radovančević began his career at the Dedinje Institute and later continued at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, where he achieved significant successes in cardiovascular medicine. At the initiative of the Texas Heart Institute, the symposium bears his name, and the Dedinje Institute is the host this year.
As a proud gold sponsor of the event, Marlo Medic showcased Microport Cardio Flow products, including the Vitaflow Liberty aortic valve and delivery system featuring double layer skirt technology, which enhances safety and reduces the risk of blood leakage, as well as TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement), eliminating the need for open-heart surgery.
