Last week, at the General Hospital Dr. Laza K. Lazarević in Šabac, a professional and technical training session was held for medical staff on the use of the Amplya device.

Amplya is the most advanced device for continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) produced by the company Bellco (Medtronic), which the General Hospital in Šabac received as part of a donation from the Government of the United Arab Emirates to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia.

This device provides the most adequate treatment and rapid intervention in conditions such as acute kidney failure and multiple organ failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), sepsis, and autoimmune diseases. Amplya serves as a unified platform for multiple options, including CRRT, IRRT, PEX, CPFA, CO2 removal, and hemoperfusion.

The company Marlo Medic proudly joined this initiative by providing professional and technical support to the medical staff, with the support of Dr. Mirjana Poledica, an anesthesiologist. In addition to her, the training was attended by other doctors and nurses from the Department of Anesthesia and Resuscitation, as well as doctors from the departments of Nephrology, Transfusion Medicine, Pathology, Pediatrics, and the hospital pharmacy.
